Water thoroughly when the top 2-3 cm of soil feels dry. Avoid overwatering, as this can lead to root rot. Reduce watering significantly during the winter dormancy period.

Ensure good drainage to prevent waterlogging, which is crucial for the plant's health.

Prune after flowering to remove spent flower stalks and any damaged or yellowing leaves. This encourages new growth and helps maintain a tidy appearance.

Minimal pruning is generally required, as the plant naturally forms an attractive shape.

Propagate by division of established clumps during repotting in spring. Carefully separate offsets with roots and pot them individually.

Alternatively, seeds can be sown, but this is a slower method and may not produce true-to-type plants.

Repot every 2-3 years, or when the plant becomes root-bound. Use a well-draining potting mix, preferably a specialist Clivia mix. Choose a pot only slightly larger than the current one to avoid overwatering.

Repot in spring before new growth begins.
