Hinweise zu Gießen, Rückschnitt, Vermehrung und Umtopfen aus den Pflanzendaten
Water regularly, especially during establishment and dry periods. Allow the soil to dry out slightly between waterings. Reduce watering in cooler months when growth slows.
Ensure good drainage to prevent waterlogged conditions, which can lead to root rot in this drought-tolerant species.
Prune in late winter or early spring before new growth emerges. Remove any dead, damaged, or diseased foliage.
Cut back old stems to about 5-10 cm above the ground to encourage fresh, vigorous growth for the season ahead.
Propagate by division in early spring or autumn. Carefully lift the plant and divide the root ball into smaller sections, each with healthy roots and shoots.
Replant divisions immediately into well-draining soil and water thoroughly.
Repotting is typically not necessary for ornamental grasses grown in garden beds. If grown in containers, repot every 2-3 years in spring when the plant becomes root-bound.
Use a well-draining potting mix and a slightly larger container.
