Minimal pruning is needed for established plants, usually just for tidiness in late winter or early spring.

Purple Orache can be easily propagated from seeds sown directly outdoors in early spring after the last frost, or indoors a few weeks prior. Cuttings can also be taken in spring or early summer and rooted in moist soil or a propagation medium.

Repotting is generally not necessary for established outdoor plants. If grown in containers, repot in spring to a slightly larger pot with fresh, well-draining potting mix.
