Water regularly, allowing the soil to dry slightly between waterings. Avoid waterlogging, especially during dormant periods. In hotter weather, more frequent watering may be necessary to maintain soil moisture.

Reduce watering significantly in cooler months.

Prune in late winter or early spring before new growth begins. Remove any dead, damaged, or crossing branches. This encourages a more compact and vigorous plant.

Pruning can also be done to shape the plant or control its size.

Propagate from seeds sown in spring or from stem cuttings taken in late spring or early summer. Seeds may require stratification.

Cuttings should be rooted in well-draining soil or a perlite/peat moss mix, kept moist and warm.

Repot young plants annually in spring. Mature plants can be repotted every 2-3 years, or when root-bound. Use a well-draining potting mix.

Choose a pot that is only slightly larger than the current one to avoid overwatering issues.
