Hoya serpens prefers consistently moist soil but detests waterlogged conditions. Water thoroughly when the top 2-3 cm of soil feels dry.

Reduce watering slightly in cooler months to prevent root rot, but never allow the soil to dry out completely. Ensure good drainage.

Prune Hoya serpens to maintain its shape and encourage bushier growth. Remove any leggy, dead, or damaged stems just above a leaf node. Pruning can also be done after flowering to tidy up the plant.

Avoid cutting off the flower spurs, as they will bloom again.

Hoya serpens is easily propagated from stem cuttings. Take 5-10 cm cuttings with at least two leaf nodes. Remove the lower leaves and plant the cuttings in moist potting mix or sphagnum moss.

Rooting typically occurs within 3-6 weeks in warm, humid conditions.

Repot Hoya serpens every 2-3 years or when it becomes root-bound. Use a well-draining potting mix, such as a blend of peat moss, perlite, and orchid bark.

Choose a pot only slightly larger than the current one to avoid overwatering issues and promote flowering.
