Whitebark Raspberries require consistent moisture, especially during flowering and fruiting. Water deeply once or twice a week, ensuring the soil remains evenly moist but not waterlogged. Reduce watering frequency in cooler, dormant periods. Drip irrigation or soaker hoses are effective for delivering water directly to the root zone, minimizing leaf wetness.

Pruning is crucial for maintaining plant health and maximizing fruit yield. Whitebark Raspberries produce fruit on second-year canes (floricanes). After the harvest, cut these spent floricanes back to the ground. In late winter or early spring, thin out any weak or overcrowded first-year canes (primocanes), aiming to leave 6-8 strong canes per plant for the next season's fruit.

Whitebark Raspberries are readily propagated through tip layering. In late summer, bury the tip of a primocane in the soil, and it should root by fall. Softwood cuttings taken in late spring or early summer are another viable method. Root cuttings can also be taken during the plant's dormant period. Seeds require cold stratification and typically have a slower germination rate.

Whitebark Raspberries are generally grown directly in the ground and rarely require repotting. If cultivated in a container, ensure it is large with excellent drainage to accommodate its growth. Repotting would only be considered if the plant significantly outgrows its current pot, which is uncommon for this shrub. Transplanting to a larger garden space is usually a better long-term solution.
