ePlant provides plant and insect identification, educational encyclopedia content, care guidance, blog articles, and a mobile app. Features may change, be added, or removed at any time without notice.

Identification and care information is provided for general educational purposes only. It is not professional botanical, agricultural, veterinary, or medical advice.

You agree not to:

• Use the Services for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable laws.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems, APIs, or user accounts.
• Scrape, crawl, or automate access in a way that burdens or disrupts the Services.
• Upload malware, spam, or content that infringes others' rights or privacy.
• Misrepresent identification results as guaranteed or suitable for consumption without verification.
• Reverse engineer or copy the Services except where permitted by law.

The ePlant name, logo, website design, and original text and software are owned by ePlant AI or its licensors and are protected by copyright and trademark laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our branding or content without written permission.

Plant and insect photographs and scientific data may come from third parties (including iNaturalist and other open-data sources) and remain subject to their respective licenses and attributions shown on applicable pages.

If you upload images or submit feedback, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, process, store, and display that content solely to operate and improve the Services (for example, to run identification and improve models). You represent that you own or have the rights to share such content.

We may remove content that violates these Terms or applicable law. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle personal data.

Our mobile app may be distributed through third-party stores. Your use of the app is also subject to the store's terms. You are responsible for data charges and device compatibility.

App updates may be required to continue using certain features. We are not responsible for issues caused by your device, operating system, or network.

The Services may link to third-party websites, app stores, or tools. We do not control and are not responsible for their content, privacy practices, or terms. Your use of third-party services is at your own risk.

We may display advertisements (including through Google AdSense) to support free access to content. Ad partners may use cookies and similar technologies as described in our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, EPLANT AI AND ITS TEAM SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES.

Our total liability for any claim relating to the Services shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months before the claim, or (b) one hundred U.S. dollars (USD $100) if you have not paid us.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

We may suspend or terminate access to the Services at any time if we believe you have violated these Terms or if necessary to protect the Services or other users. You may stop using the Services at any time.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Material changes may also be noted on the website. Your continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
