Minimal pruning is required. Deadheading spent flowers can encourage more blooms and prevent excessive self-seeding, though some gardeners allow it to self-seed for next year's display. Pinching back young plants can promote a bushier habit. Remove any yellowing or damaged leaves to maintain plant vigor and appearance.

Primarily propagated by seed. Seeds can be sown directly outdoors after the last frost, or started indoors 4-6 weeks before the last frost.
