Allow the soil to dry out slightly between waterings. Water thoroughly when the top 2-3 cm of soil feels dry. Reduce watering during winter months to prevent waterlogged roots, which can lead to root rot.

Ensure good drainage to avoid standing water.

Prune to maintain shape, remove dead or crossing branches, and encourage bushier growth. Light pruning can be done anytime, but heavier pruning is best performed in late winter or early spring before new growth begins.

Remove any diseased or damaged stems promptly.

Wild Tamarind can be propagated by seeds, which should be scarified or soaked before sowing.

Stem cuttings can also be taken from semi-hardwood in summer, treated with rooting hormone, and planted in a well-draining medium. Keep cuttings moist and warm.

Repot young plants every 1-2 years in spring, or when they become root-bound. Mature plants can be repotted less frequently, perhaps every 3-4 years.

Use a well-draining potting mix and choose a pot that is only slightly larger than the current one to avoid overwatering.
