Allow soil to dry out completely between waterings, especially during its dormant period in summer. Overwatering is the most common cause of death for Dudleya species.

In winter, water very sparingly, if at all, to prevent rot. Ensure excellent drainage.

Pruning is generally not required for Dudleya abramsii. Remove any dead or dried leaves at the base of the rosette to maintain aesthetic appeal and prevent potential pest issues.

This can be done with clean, sharp scissors.

Propagate primarily through offsets, which can be carefully separated from the parent plant during the spring when it's actively growing. Allow the offsets to callus for a few days before planting in well-draining soil.

Seed propagation is also possible but slower.

Repot Dudleya abramsii every 2-3 years, or when the plant outgrows its current container. Use a gritty, fast-draining potting mix specifically formulated for succulents or cacti.

Repot in early spring before new growth begins.
