Prune away spent flower stalks to maintain a tidy appearance and direct energy back to the bulb. Remove any yellowing or dead foliage as it appears.

Heavy pruning is generally not required unless the plant becomes overgrown.

Propagate Albuca arenosa through offsets or bulbils produced by the parent plant. Gently separate these smaller bulbs during repotting and plant them in well-draining soil.

Alternatively, seeds can be sown in spring, but this is a slower method.

Repot every 2-3 years or when the bulb outgrows its container, preferably in late summer or early autumn before new growth begins. Use a sandy, well-draining potting mix in a pot that allows for good drainage and accommodates the bulb's size.
