Water thoroughly when the top 2-3 cm of soil is dry. Allow soil to drain completely between waterings. Reduce watering significantly during winter dormancy to prevent root rot.

Overwatering is a common issue, so err on the side of underwatering if unsure.

Prune after flowering to shape the plant and encourage bushier growth. Remove spent flower stalks and any dead or damaged stems. Light pruning can be done anytime to maintain desired size and form.
