Prune Anacardium humile to maintain its shape and size, and to remove any dead, damaged, or crossing branches. Light pruning can be done at any time, but heavier pruning is best done after flowering.

Propagation is typically done through seeds, which should be sown in well-draining soil shortly after collection. Scarification of the seed coat can improve germination rates.
