Water thoroughly when the top 2-3 cm of soil feels dry. Reduce watering during winter months to prevent waterlogging, allowing the soil to dry out more between waterings. Ensure good drainage to avoid root rot.

Prune to maintain desired shape and size, and to remove any dead or crossing branches. Light pruning can be done anytime, but heavier pruning is best performed in late winter or early spring before new growth begins.

Propagate from seeds sown in spring, or from semi-hardwood cuttings taken in summer. Seeds may require stratification. Cuttings should be treated with rooting hormone and kept in a warm, humid environment.
