Narrowleaf WaterblommetjieAponogeton angustifolius

Aponogeton angustifolius thrives in consistently moist to submerged conditions. Maintain submerged roots in a pond, water garden, or a container with standing water.

Avoid letting the substrate dry out completely, especially during active growth periods. Overwatering is generally not an issue as it's an aquatic plant.

Remove any decaying or yellowing leaves promptly to maintain water quality and plant health. Trim back flower stalks after blooming to encourage further flower production and prevent seed formation if not desired.

This helps the plant focus its energy on growth.

Aponogeton angustifolius can be propagated by dividing the corm or from seeds. Corm division is best done after flowering when the plant is dormant.

Seeds can be collected from mature seed pods and sown in shallow water with a nutrient-rich substrate.

Repotting is typically only necessary every few years when the corm outgrows its container or when dividing. Use a coarse, nutrient-rich aquatic planting medium.

Ensure the corm is planted at the correct depth, with its growing tip just at or slightly below the substrate surface.
