Pruning is generally not required. Remove any dead or damaged stems at any time to maintain appearance and plant health.

If shaping is desired, prune lightly after flowering to encourage a denser habit, but avoid cutting into old wood.

Propagation is best achieved by division of established clumps in early spring. Carefully separate root sections with a few stems and replant immediately.

Cuttings taken in late spring or early summer can also be rooted, but success rates may vary.

Repotting is infrequent as Dryas integrifolia prefers to be slightly pot-bound and dislikes root disturbance.
