Watering, pruning, propagation, and repotting details from plant data

Prune lightly after flowering to remove spent blooms and maintain a tidy shape. For older plants, more significant pruning can be done in late winter to encourage vigorous new growth and improve air circulation.
Propagate by taking softwood cuttings in late spring or semi-hardwood cuttings in mid-summer. Root cuttings in a well-draining medium, keeping them consistently moist and warm. Seeds can also be sown in autumn.
Repot young plants every 1-2 years in spring. Mature plants benefit from repotting every 2-3 years, or when root-bound. Use a good quality, well-draining potting mix, and ensure the new pot offers adequate drainage.
