Prune to shape the tree, remove dead or diseased branches, and improve air circulation. This is best done after flowering or in late winter. Avoid heavy pruning, as it can stress the tree.

Seeds can be propagated after soaking in water. Grafting is also a successful method. Young plants require careful handling and a warm, humid environment for initial establishment.

Repot young trees every 2-3 years as needed, typically in spring. Mature trees generally do not require frequent repotting and are best left undisturbed. Ensure good drainage in the new pot.
