Artabotrys HainanensisArtabotrys hainanensis

Artabotrys hainanensis prefers consistently moist soil but not waterlogged. Water thoroughly when the top 2-3 cm of soil feels dry. Reduce watering slightly during cooler months to prevent root rot.

Ensure good drainage to avoid standing water, which can be detrimental to its health.

Prune Artabotrys hainanensis to maintain its shape, encourage bushier growth, and remove any dead or diseased branches. The best time to prune is in late winter or early spring before new growth begins.

Lightly trim spent flowers to promote further blooming and keep the plant tidy.

Propagation is typically done through stem cuttings taken in spring or summer. Select healthy, semi-hardwood cuttings, treat them with rooting hormone, and plant them in a well-draining potting mix.

Maintain high humidity and warmth to encourage root development.

Repot Artabotrys hainanensis every 2-3 years, or when it becomes root-bound. Spring is the ideal time for repotting.

Choose a pot that is only slightly larger than the current one and use a well-draining potting mix, such as a blend of peat moss, perlite, and compost.
