Water consistently, especially during dry periods, but avoid waterlogged conditions. Established plants are somewhat drought-tolerant.

Prune to shape the tree and remove dead or crossing branches. Light pruning can be done after flowering to maintain form.

Easily propagated from seeds sown in spring. Cuttings can also be taken from semi-hardwood in summer.

Not typically repotted as it is a tree. For container-grown specimens, repot every 2-3 years into a larger container with fresh soil.
