Water regularly, especially during the first growing season, to establish a deep root system. Once established, this plant is drought-tolerant. Allow the soil to dry slightly between waterings.

Overwatering can lead to root rot, so ensure good drainage.

Deadhead spent flowers to encourage further blooming and prevent self-seeding. In late winter or early spring, cut back old growth to about 10-15 cm above the ground to promote new, vigorous shoots.

Propagate by division in early spring or fall. Carefully dig up the plant and divide the root ball into smaller sections, ensuring each section has roots and shoots. Replant immediately.

Seeds can also be sown in fall or stratified.

Established plants generally do not require frequent repotting. If grown in a container, repot every 2-3 years in early spring into a slightly larger pot with fresh, well-draining soil.
