Water thoroughly when the top 2-3 cm of soil feels dry. Reduce watering in cooler months. Ensure good drainage to prevent waterlogging, as Pimenta racemosa prefers consistently moist but not saturated conditions.

Allow soil to dry slightly between waterings.

Prune to maintain shape and size, or to remove dead, damaged, or crossing branches. Light pruning can be done anytime, but heavier pruning is best in late winter or early spring before new growth begins.

This encourages bushier growth and fruit production.

Best propagated from seeds sown in spring or early summer. Soak seeds in warm water for 24 hours before sowing in a well-draining seed-starting mix.

Alternatively, take semi-hardwood cuttings in summer, dip in rooting hormone, and plant in a moist medium.

Repot young plants annually or every two years in spring. Mature plants can be repotted less frequently, every 3-5 years. Use a well-draining potting mix.

Choose a pot slightly larger than the current one to provide adequate space for root growth.
