Water regularly during the growing season, keeping the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. Reduce watering in autumn and winter, allowing the top few centimeters of soil to dry out between waterings.

Ensure good drainage to prevent root rot.

Prune in late winter or early spring before new growth begins. Remove any dead, damaged, or crossing branches. Pruning encourages vigorous new growth and better fruit production.

For shape and size control, prune back stems to a desired length.

Propagate from semi-hardwood cuttings taken in mid-summer. Select healthy shoots and take 10-15 cm cuttings, removing lower leaves. Dip the cut end in rooting hormone and insert into a moist, well-draining potting mix.

Cover with a plastic bag for humidity.

Repot young plants annually in spring to ensure they have adequate space for root growth. Mature plants can be repotted every 2-3 years, or when they become root-bound. Use a good quality, free-draining potting compost.
