Ensure good drainage in the pot.

Prune lightly to maintain shape and remove any dead or crossing branches. This can be done after flowering or in late winter before new growth begins. Avoid heavy pruning, as it can stress the plant.

Propagate from seeds sown fresh, or take semi-hardwood cuttings in summer. Seeds may require stratification. Cuttings should be rooted in a well-draining medium in a warm, humid environment.

Repot young plants annually in spring, and mature plants every 2-3 years. Use a well-draining potting mix. Choose a pot that is only slightly larger than the current one to avoid overwatering.
