Water thoroughly when the top 2-3 cm of soil feels dry. Ensure good drainage to prevent waterlogging. Reduce watering slightly during winter dormancy. Consistent moisture is key for healthy growth and fruit production.

Prune in late winter to remove dead, damaged, or crossing canes. Prune primocanes (first-year canes) back to encourage fruiting laterals.

Floricanes (second-year canes that have fruited) should be removed entirely after harvest.

Propagate by layering, where a long cane is bent to the ground and covered with soil to root. Alternatively, hardwood cuttings can be taken in late autumn or early winter and planted directly into the ground or pots.

Repot container-grown plants every 2-3 years in early spring before new growth begins. Use a larger pot with fresh, well-draining potting mix. Trim back some of the root system if it has become pot-bound.
