Ensure good drainage to avoid waterlogging, as these plants are drought-tolerant once established.

Prune to shape and control size, typically after the main flowering period. Remove dead, damaged, or crossing branches. Pinching back new growth can encourage bushier flowering.

Heavy pruning can be done in late winter before new growth begins.

Propagate from semi-hardwood cuttings taken in late summer or early autumn. Use a rooting hormone and plant in a well-draining medium in a warm environment with high humidity. Cuttings can take several weeks to root.
