Water thoroughly when the top 2-3 cm of soil feels dry. Reduce watering in winter to prevent waterlogging. Bridal Broom prefers well-drained soil and can tolerate short periods of drought once established.

Overwatering is a common cause of root rot.

Prune lightly after flowering to maintain shape and encourage bushier growth. Remove any dead or damaged branches.

Hard pruning can be done in early spring before new growth begins, but avoid cutting into old wood, as it may not regrow well. Deadheading spent flowers is not necessary.

Propagation is best done from seed sown in spring, ideally after a period of cold stratification (simulating winter).

Cuttings taken in late spring or early summer can also be rooted in well-draining compost, though success rates can vary. Use a rooting hormone to improve success.

Repot young plants annually or biannually in spring, moving them to a pot only slightly larger. Mature plants are often best left undisturbed and can be top-dressed with fresh compost.

Ensure the new pot has excellent drainage to prevent root rot.
