Avoid letting the soil dry out completely, as this can stress the plant. In containers, ensure good drainage while keeping the soil consistently damp.

Pruning is minimal for bulblet-bearing water hemlock. Remove any dead or yellowing foliage as needed to maintain aesthetic appeal.

Deadheading spent flower stalks can prevent unwanted seeding, though this is less critical as propagation is primarily through bulbils. Trim any damaged leaves promptly.

Propagation is primarily achieved through the bulblets (small bulb-like structures) that form in the leaf axils. These can be carefully detached after the plant has finished flowering and planted in moist soil.

Division of established clumps is also possible in early spring.
