Angular Water-starwort thrives in consistently submerged conditions. The substrate should remain saturated at all times. Avoid letting the water level drop significantly, as this can stress the plant.

For submerged growth, a shallow water column is ideal. Ensure the pot is in a tray of water for emersed growth.

Pruning is usually minimal for Callitriche cribrosa. If the plant becomes too dense or overgrown, especially in emersed form, you can trim back stems to encourage bushier growth. Cut stems just above a node.

For submerged plants, remove any decaying or yellowing leaves promptly to maintain water quality and plant health.

Propagation is straightforward. This plant readily produces new shoots and runners from its base and along the stems. Simply take cuttings from healthy stems, ensuring each cutting has at least one node.

These cuttings can be replanted directly into the substrate or floated in the water, where they will quickly root and establish.

Repotting is rarely necessary for Callitriche cribrosa unless it outgrows its container or its substrate becomes depleted. If repotting, use a nutrient-rich aquatic soil or a mix of sand and compost.

Ensure the roots are covered and the plant is anchored securely in the substrate. This is best done in spring or early summer.
