Keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. Water thoroughly when the top 2-3 cm of soil feels dry.

Reduce watering frequency during cooler months, allowing the soil to dry out slightly more between waterings to prevent root rot.

Prune to shape the plant, remove dead or diseased branches, and encourage bushier growth. Light pruning can be done anytime, but heavier pruning is best performed in late winter or early spring before new growth begins.

Remove crossing or inward-growing stems.

Propagation is typically done by seeds, which require stratification to germinate effectively. Cuttings can also be taken from semi-hardwood in summer or hardwood in winter, treated with rooting hormone, and planted in a well-draining medium.

Repot young plants annually or every two years in spring. Mature plants can be repotted less frequently, every 3-4 years. Choose a pot one size larger with fresh, well-draining potting mix.
