Water regularly during establishment, allowing the soil to dry slightly between waterings. Once established, it is drought-tolerant. Avoid waterlogging, especially in poorly draining soils, to prevent root rot.

Pruning is usually not essential but can be done to shape the tree, remove dead or damaged branches, or manage its size. Best performed in late winter or early spring before new growth begins.

Best propagated from fresh seeds sown in spring. Scarification or soaking seeds may improve germination rates. Cuttings can be taken from semi-hardwood in summer but are generally less successful.

Young plants may need repotting every 1-2 years to accommodate growth. Mature trees are best left undisturbed. Choose a pot with good drainage and use a well-draining potting mix.
