Water thoroughly when the soil is completely dry, typically every 2-4 weeks during the growing season (spring to autumn).

Reduce watering significantly in winter, allowing the soil to remain dry for longer periods to prevent root rot. Ensure excellent drainage.

Prune Candelabra Aloe to remove any dead, damaged, or diseased leaves and spent flower stalks at their base. This maintains plant health and appearance.

For size control or to encourage a bushier form, leggy stems can be cut back. Always use clean, sharp pruning shears to make precise cuts and prevent the spread of pathogens. Allow cut surfaces to dry and callus.

Aloe arborescens is easily propagated from stem cuttings or offsets. For cuttings, allow the cut end to callus for several days in a dry, shaded spot before planting in well-draining succulent soil.

Offsets, or 'pups', can be carefully separated from the base of the mother plant once they have developed their own roots. Pot them individually in appropriate soil.

Repot Aloe arborescens every 2-3 years, or when it becomes noticeably root-bound, ideally during the spring. Choose a pot that is only slightly larger than the previous one to prevent excess moisture retention.

Use a fresh, well-draining succulent or cactus potting mix. Ensure the plant's soil is dry before repotting to minimize stress and reduce the risk of root damage.
