Prune to shape the plant and remove any dead, damaged, or crossing branches. Light pruning can be done after flowering to maintain size and encourage bushier growth. Avoid heavy pruning, as it can impact flowering.

Crateva adansonii can be propagated by seeds, which require stratification, or by semi-hardwood cuttings taken in summer. Cuttings should be treated with rooting hormone and placed in a well-draining medium in a warm, humid environment.
