Water regularly during the growing season, especially in dry periods. Allow the soil to dry out slightly between waterings. Reduce watering in autumn and winter.

Ensure good drainage to prevent waterlogged roots, which can lead to root rot.

Prune in late winter or early spring before new growth begins. Cut back flowered stems from the previous year to about two or three buds from the base. This encourages vigorous new growth and abundant flowering.

Propagate from semi-ripe cuttings taken in summer. Insert cuttings into a moist, well-drained potting medium. Keep them in a warm, humid environment until they root.
