Water
Typha latifolia thrives in consistently wet to submerged conditions, ideally with 15-30 cm of standing water.
For container-grown plants, ensure the pot is always sitting in water, either in a pond or a water-filled saucer, to mimic its natural wetland habitat.
Never allow the soil to dry out, as this aquatic plant cannot tolerate drought. Regular replenishment of water is crucial, especially during hot, dry periods, to maintain the required water level.
