Allow the soil to dry out completely between waterings. Overwatering is the most common cause of rot. Water thoroughly until it drains from the bottom of the pot, then wait for the soil to dry before watering again.

Pruning is generally minimal for Echeveria chihuahuaensis. Remove dead or dried leaves to maintain a clean appearance and prevent potential pest issues.

If the plant becomes leggy due to insufficient light, you can behead it and propagate the top.

Easily propagated from offsets (pups) that grow at the base of the parent plant. Gently detach the pups with a clean knife and allow the cut end to callous over for a few days before planting in well-draining soil.

Leaf cuttings are also possible but less reliable.

Repot every 2-3 years or when the plant outgrows its current container. Choose a pot with drainage holes and use a well-draining succulent or cactus mix. Repot in the spring before the active growing season begins.
