Chamberbitter prefers consistently moist soil but can tolerate brief periods of dryness. Water thoroughly when the top 2-3 cm of soil feels dry. Avoid waterlogging, which can lead to root rot.

Reduce watering slightly during cooler months when growth slows.

Pruning is generally not required for Chamberbitter, as it is a self-limiting annual or short-lived perennial. If the plant becomes leggy or overgrown, it can be pruned back to encourage bushier growth.

Pruning can also be done to maintain desired size and shape.

Chamberbitter is easily propagated by seed. Sow seeds directly into well-draining soil in spring, either indoors or outdoors after the last frost. Seeds germinate readily under warm conditions.

It also readily self-seeds.

As Chamberbitter is often treated as an annual or is short-lived, repotting is rarely necessary. If grown in a container and it outgrows its pot, or if it's a longer-lived specimen, repot in spring to a slightly larger container with fresh, well-draining potting mix.
