Allow the soil to dry out completely between waterings. Overwatering is the most common cause of problems for Tacitus Bellus.

In winter, reduce watering significantly, as the plant enters a period of dormancy and requires much less moisture to prevent root rot.

Pruning is generally minimal. Remove any dead or damaged leaves at the base of the plant to maintain its tidy appearance.

If the plant becomes etiolated (leggy), you can prune it back to encourage a more compact growth habit. Cuttings can be used for propagation.

Tacitus Bellus is easily propagated from stem cuttings or individual leaves. Allow cuttings to callus over for a few days before planting in well-draining soil.

Alternatively, place leaves on the soil surface and wait for small plantlets to form. Water sparingly until roots develop.

Repot every 2-3 years, or when the plant outgrows its container. Use a well-draining succulent or cactus potting mix. Repot in spring, just as new growth begins.

Choose a pot that is only slightly larger than the current root ball to avoid water retention issues.
