Remove any dead, yellowed, or damaged fronds at their base. This helps maintain the plant's appearance and encourages new growth. Light pruning can also be done to shape the fern if it becomes too leggy or overgrown.

Pteris multifida can be propagated by dividing established clumps during repotting. Carefully separate sections of the rhizome, ensuring each division has healthy roots and fronds.

Alternatively, spores can be collected and sown on moist, sterile media.

Repot every 1-2 years, or when the plant becomes root-bound. Use a well-draining potting mix, ideally one formulated for ferns or containing peat moss and perlite.
