Water Artemisia argyi moderately during the growing season, allowing the soil to dry out slightly between waterings. Reduce watering significantly in winter, providing just enough to keep the soil from becoming bone dry.

Overwatering can lead to root rot, so ensure good drainage.

Prune Artemisia argyi back in late spring or early summer to encourage bushier growth and prevent it from becoming too leggy. Cut back by about one-third to one-half of its height.
