Propagation is typically done through seeds, which require stratification, or by semi-hardwood cuttings taken in summer.

Cuttings should be treated with rooting hormone and placed in a well-draining medium in a warm, humid environment. Seed germination can be slow.

Repot young trees every 2-3 years, and mature trees every 3-5 years, preferably in early spring. Use a well-draining potting mix. Trim back the root ball slightly to encourage new root growth.
