Water thoroughly when the top 2-3 cm of soil feels dry to the touch. Avoid overwatering, as this can lead to root rot. Reduce watering frequency during cooler months. Ensure good drainage to prevent waterlogging.

Prune to maintain desired shape and size, and to remove any dead or damaged branches. Light pruning can be done at any time of year.

For more significant shaping, prune in late winter or early spring before new growth begins.

Propagate by seeds sown in well-draining compost in spring. Cuttings can also be taken from semi-hardwood in summer, treated with rooting hormone, and placed in a propagator with bottom heat.

Repot young plants annually in spring, and mature plants every 2-3 years as needed. Use a well-draining potting mix.

Choose a pot that is only slightly larger than the current root ball to avoid excess moisture retention.
