Water thoroughly when the soil is completely dry, typically every 2-3 weeks during the growing season (spring/summer). Reduce watering significantly in winter, allowing the soil to dry out between waterings to prevent root rot.

Pruning is generally not required for Cochemiea blossfeldiana, as it naturally forms an attractive, compact shape. If propagation is desired, stems can be carefully removed and treated as offsets.

Propagate by offsets that naturally form at the base of the parent plant. Gently detach offsets with a clean knife when they have developed their own roots.

Allow the cut surface to callus for a few days before potting in well-draining cactus mix.

Repot Cochemiea blossfeldiana every 2-3 years, or when the plant has outgrown its current container. Repot in spring using a fast-draining cactus or succulent mix. Choose a pot only slightly larger than the previous one.
