Keep soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. Water thoroughly when the top 2-3 cm of soil feels dry. Reduce watering in winter, allowing the soil to dry out slightly more between waterings to prevent root rot.

Ensure good drainage to avoid standing water.

Prune in late winter or early spring before new growth begins. Remove any dead, damaged, or crossing branches to maintain a healthy structure and encourage vigorous growth.

Light pruning can be done throughout the year to shape the plant and remove any unruly stems.

Propagate by semi-hardwood cuttings taken in summer. Select healthy stems, cut them into sections of 10-15 cm, and remove lower leaves. Dip the cut end in rooting hormone and insert into a well-draining potting mix.

Keep moist and in a warm, humid environment.

Repot young plants annually or every two years in spring, and mature plants every 3-4 years or when root-bound. Use a well-draining potting mix. Choose a pot that is slightly larger than the current one.
