Water thoroughly when the top few centimeters of soil are dry. Allow soil to dry out slightly between waterings, especially during cooler months. Avoid waterlogging, as this can lead to root rot.

Reduce watering frequency in winter.

Prune to shape the plant and remove any dead, damaged, or crossing branches. Light pruning can be done after flowering to encourage bushier growth.

Heavy pruning is best done in late winter or early spring before new growth begins.

Propagate from semi-hardwood cuttings taken in summer. Dip the cut end in rooting hormone and plant in a well-draining potting mix. Keep moist and warm, and roots should develop within a few weeks.

Repot young plants annually in spring. Mature plants can be repotted every 2-3 years or when root-bound. Use a well-draining potting mix and a pot only slightly larger than the current one.
