Ensure good drainage to prevent waterlogged conditions, especially in containers.

Prune back spent flower stalks after blooming to encourage a tidier appearance and potentially a second flush of flowers. In late winter or early spring, cut back established plants by about one-third to promote vigorous new growth and maintain shape.

Easily propagated from seed sown in spring or autumn, either directly outdoors or in a propagator. Cuttings can also be taken from young shoots in late spring or early summer and rooted in moist, well-draining compost.

Repot young plants annually in spring as needed, typically when roots fill the current pot. Mature plants can be repotted every 2-3 years. Use a good quality, well-draining potting mix.
