Water regularly, keeping the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. Allow the top few centimeters of soil to dry out between waterings, especially during the growing season.

Reduce watering in cooler months when growth slows, but do not let the soil become completely dry.

Prune to maintain shape and size, and to remove any dead, damaged, or crossing branches. The best time for pruning is typically in late winter or early spring before new growth begins.

Light pruning can be done throughout the year to encourage bushier growth.

Propagate primarily through seeds, which may require stratification. Stem cuttings can also be attempted, taken from semi-hardwood in summer and treated with rooting hormone.
