Water regularly, keeping the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. Allow the top few centimeters of soil to dry out between waterings, especially during the growing season.

Reduce watering slightly in cooler months, but do not let the soil become completely dry.

Prune to maintain shape and remove any dead, damaged, or crossing branches. Light pruning can be done anytime, but heavier pruning is best performed in late winter or early spring before new growth begins.
