Garden chervil prefers consistently moist soil. Water regularly, especially during dry spells, to prevent wilting and bolting. Aim for even moisture without waterlogging the roots.

Allow the top centimeter of soil to dry slightly between waterings.

Regularly harvest young leaves to encourage bushier growth and prolong the harvest. Pinch back flower stalks as soon as they appear to prevent the plant from going to seed prematurely, which can reduce leaf production and flavor.

Garden chervil is primarily propagated by seed. Sow seeds directly into the garden bed in early spring or late summer, as it prefers cooler temperatures and dislikes transplanting.

Seeds germinate best in light and can be sown shallowly.

Repotting is generally not recommended for garden chervil as it dislikes root disturbance and is often grown as an annual. If starting indoors, use biodegradable pots to minimize transplant shock when moving seedlings to the garden.
