Water regularly to keep the soil consistently moist, but avoid waterlogging. Allow the top few centimeters of soil to dry out slightly between waterings.

Reduce watering frequency during cooler months or when the plant is dormant.

Prune lightly to maintain shape and remove any dead, damaged, or crossing branches. This can be done after flowering or in early spring before new growth begins. Avoid heavy pruning, as it can stress the plant.

Propagate from seeds sown in spring or by semi-hardwood cuttings taken in summer. Seeds may require stratification. Cuttings should be treated with rooting hormone and placed in a well-draining medium.

Repot young plants annually or every two years, and mature plants every three to four years, typically in spring. Use a well-draining potting mix and choose a pot only slightly larger than the current one.
